Noise Rock in the tradition of the 90s Alternative Tentacles with the influence of bands from Jesus Lizard to Zen Guerilla became a quite rare sonic texture these days between the worlds of Stonerrock and the dark edge of current Sludge, Drone and Doom.
Originating from the Noise Rock combo Tailgate, UGH! managed to create a completely unique musical world of their own.
Neckbreaking uneven rhythms and melodies that stick to the ear, unawaited twists and catchy riffs go along with a deep sense of humour and weltschmerz as well. UGH! makes an artistic statement no-one who is into hard and deep music should miss!

FATBURNER IS A RE-RECORDING FROM THE METAUSTRAT-ALBUM, PUBLISHED IN 2003 ON ELEKTROHASCH, THIS TIME PERFORMED WITH THE THIRD UGH!LY CREATURE, A MASSIVELY DIRTY HARP-SOLO AND A NICE FRIENDLY WESTERN ATMOSPHERE IN THE BEGINNING.
CUT TO THE CHASE WAS A GOOD FIT TO THE SINGLE, BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL VERSION BY COP SHOOT COP IS ALSO PLAYED WITH TWO BASSES AND NO GUITAR, AND THE DECISION TO PLAY IT A MORE DANCEABLE SKALIKE WAY MADE THE BRINGING IN OF THE TRUMPET JUST PERFECT. THE BOMBASTIC OUTRO LEADS INTO A HUGE APPLAUSE FROM A DISTANT MASS. WELL, THAT IS IRONIC!
THE SINGLE WAS ORIGINALLY DISTRIBUTED BY THE NOW DEFUNCT SWAMP ROOM DISTRIBUTION.
